The hospital authorities opened an operation theater today, three days after the AC broke down in the ICU of the National Heart Institute and Hospital.
One operation theater has been opened but six remain closed, which will be opened soon, the hospital authorities said.
The patients who came to the hospital for treatment had to suffer due to the closure for three days. ACs in six ICUs, three ACs in CCU and all ACs in H/D/U were broken along with air circulation in the hospital.
As a result, all operations were closed from Saturday. A few ACs and an operation theater reopened on Tuesday morning after the allocation of Tk 2 crore 15 lakh as per the instructions of the health minister.
