Demonstrations have spread in various universities in the United States in demand of a cease-fire in Gaza and to stop the military aid to Israel. So far, at least 1,000 students have been arrested for taking part in the protest.

In the last century, the United States lost a war with a small Asian country Vietnam. The world saw a different America during that war. It seems like the history is repeating.

This is the largest and most important anti-Israel movement in US educational institutions since the Vietnam War and the civil rights movement in the 1960s. Meanwhile, after the ultimatum ends, New York's Columbia University authorities started expelling those involved in the protest.

US university students are vocal against Israel's attack on Palestine. Protests are spreading day by day. A thousand of protesters have been arrested in an attempt to suppress the protest.

In such a situation, the White House stated on Sunday that the ongoing protests on campuses must be peaceful. However, the students have announced that they will continue to protest until their demands for a cease-fire in Gaza and an end to military aid to Israel are met.

Meanwhile, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said US President Joe Biden is monitoring the protests across the United States and the president understands the students' deep feelings about the war in Gaza.
