At least six newborn babies have died under mysterious circumstances at Ad-Din Hospital in Maghbazar, Dhaka, raising serious concerns among families and health authorities. 5 more infants are currently in critical condition
The exact cause of the deaths has not yet been determined.According to hospital sources, the newborns died early in the morning, while several other babies suddenly fell ill shortly afterward.
Police have arrived at the scene and launched an investigation to determine the real cause behind the incident.
Meanwhile, Professor Zahid Raihan, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services, said the matter is being initially reviewed and verified by the health authorities.
