In the first match of three-match ODI series, Bangladesh Under-19 team have secured a 130-run victory against South Africa Under-19 team. Jawad Abrar named the Player of the Match.
With this win, Azizul Hakim Tamim’s team takes a 1–0 lead in the series. Losing the toss and batting first in Benoni, the young Tigers secured 285 runs for 6 wickets.
Rizan Hossain and Mohammad Abdullah also contributed with 63 runs each. In response, the South African youngsters suffered early blows, losing two wickets for just 5 runs.
They continued to lose wickets at regular intervals and eventually collapsed for 155 runs. The second ODI of the series will be played on July 19.
