COVID: 26 die in 4 districts in last 24 hrs

The numbers of COVID death and infection are rising at country's bordering districts.

A total of 26 people have died of coronavirus in Rajshahi, Khulna, Satkhira and Faridpur in last 24 hours. A total of 15 people have died of coronavirus at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in last 24 hours.

At the hospital, 43 new COVID patients have been admitted newly. 18 patients are at ICU. The infection rate is 38.83 per cent. Meanwhile, to curb the spike of infection, district administration has imposed total lockdown in Rajshahi city from this afternoon to June 17. The lockdown will be effective from 5 pm today.

Meanwhile, 3 COVID patients have died at Khulna Medical, while 2 others died with COVID symptoms. A total of 146 patients are undergoing treatment against 130 bed capacity. 156 people have been infected newly. The infection rate is 35.

Besides, 4 people have died at Satkhira Sadar and Medical, while 2 died at Faridpur medical. 82 more people have been infected at Natore, where the infection rate is 53.
