US Vice President JD Vance has said, Washington’s main objectives are to keep energy prices stable for Americans and prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
He said, the United States has two goals in the war with Iran that has continued for several months: restoring stability to the global economy by normalizing energy supplies, and preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Pete Heg-seth said, the United States is capable of maintaining an indefinite naval blockade against Iran over the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran, however, issued a stern warning to the United States, saying that no country’s vessels would be able to pass through the Strait of Hormuz without Iran’s permission.
