11-party alliance is set to hold a rally in Bijoynagar, Dhaka, this afternoon, demanding the swift trial of enforced disappearances, murders, and other killings committed during the tenure of what it described as a fascist government.
Opposition leader Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, NCP Convener Nahid Islam, and other top leaders of the 11-party coalition are expected to attend the gathering.
Earlier, Coordinator of the alliance, Hamidur Rahman Azad, announced the program at a press conference after a liaison committee meeting on Tuesday morning.
Azad said, a culture of impunity still exists in the country and alleged that efforts are underway to rehabilitate fascism.
Expressing concern over the fact that the trial of the July massacre has yet to be completed, he called for the judicial process to be expedited.
