Prime Minister and Leader of the House Tarique Rahman has said, the country has returned to its desired democratic path. He made the remarks in his inaugural speech at the first session of the much-awaited 13th National Parliament.
At the beginning of his address, the Prime Minister remembered the martyrs of 1971 and those dedicated their lives during the July movement of 2024.
He also remembered former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and martyred President Ziaur Rahman.
He said, BNP prioritizes interests of the people, rather than those of individuals or any particular party.
Emphasizing the party’s vision, he stated that BNP aims to establish a self-reliant and democratic state and turn Parliament into the central platform for resolving national issues.
