At least 14 passengers have been killed in a plane crash in the northern state of Amazon in the Latin American country of Brazil.

There were 12 tourists, in addition to pilot and co-pilot, all of them were killed in the crash.

The accident took place in Barcelos province, about 400 kilometers from the state capital Manaus, on saturday afternoon local time.

The mayor of Barcelos conveyed his solidarity to the victims family and friends.
