A deadly road accident has claimed two lives on the Dhaka–Bhanga Expressway in Bhanga, Faridpur. The crash occurred early in the morning near a flyover area of Bhanga.
According to highway police, a pickup van carrying fish reportedly crashed into another stationary pickup van that was loaded with tree saplings.
The driver of the fish-laden vehicle, identified as Shamim, died on the spot.
Another person who was seriously injured in the crash later died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police say, the bodies will be handed over to the families after completion of the post-mortem examination.
