The death toll from clashes in Pakistan has risen to 22 following reports of the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
On Sunday, thousands protesters took to the streets in Karachi and several other cities in Pakistan to protest against US-Israel attack in Iran and killing of Khamenei.
In Karachi, they attempted to enter US consulate but were stopped by security forces.
Demonstrators broke windows and set parts of the building on fire. Police dispersed the crowd, leading to violent clashes and casualties.
In Islamabad, thousands gathered holding images of Khamenei. Police also dispersed the protesters.
During this time several protesters killed.
