The incident took place in the remote area of Khagrachari and Naniarchar upazila of Rangamati.

Bablu Chakma, the organizer of United People's Democratic Front-UPDF, a regional political party of hill area UPDF, said some miscreants using masks opened fire on the activists of UPDF when they went out for organizational activities around 8 am.

At this, three UPDF activists, Ravi Kumar Chakma, Bimal Chakma and Ripon Chakma killed on the spot.
