Police confirmed Fazor Ali’s arrest early this morning from Sayedabad in Dhaka. 

Earlier, a press release from the district police stated that Fazor had initially been detained by locals on June 26 in Ramchandrapur Panchkitta village for allegedly raping a migrant worker’s wife , However, he escaped before police arrived. 

The incident was recorded on video by bystanders and later circulated on social media.

Following the viral video, authorities launched a case and arrested four others Ramzan, Suman, Arif, and Onik for their roles in distributing the footage,The investigation is ongoing.
