Five people, including four members of the same family, suffered burn injuries after a suspected gas leak triggered an explosion in a flat in Narayanganj’s Bandar upazila.
The explosion occurred on Thursday morning in Chanpur village under Madanpur Union.
According to doctors at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, three victims were admitted there, while two others were taken to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The injured sustained burns ranging from 8% to 90% of their bodies.
Fire Service officials said they had not been informed about the incident.
