The United Kingdom, France, Canada, Norway, Australia and New Zealand have jointly imposed sanctions on Israeli networks accused of financing and supporting violent extremist settler activities in the occupied West Bank.
The countries announced the sanctions on Tuesday.
In a joint statement the foreign ministers of the countries said, the measures are intended to hold extremist Israeli settlers accountable for their actions.
Israel has established settlements in the West Bank since capturing the territory during the 1967 war.
The United Nations and most countries around the world consider these settlements to be a violation of international law.
