7 agricultural workers have been killed and at least 15 others injured after a passenger bus ran over a group of labourers sitting beside a highway in Bogura's Eru-lia area.
The accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on the Bogura-Naogaon Highway when a Naogaon-bound Shah Fateh Ali Paribahan bus reportedly lost control.
Three workers died on the spot, while four others later died on the way to hospital or after being admitted.
The victims had travelled from Gaibandha and Rangpur to work on Aman paddy transplantation.
Following the crash, local residents blocked the highway, demanding the construction of speed breakers at the accident site.
