High Court has ordered the re-instate-ment of Sharif Uddin, the Deputy Assistant
Director of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), who was dismissed from his post.
He must also be given back all the salary and benefits due to him.
A division bench of High Court gave this order this morning
Sharif Uddin said in response to the verdict that he had received justice.
Sharif Uddin had been working at the ACC's integrated district office in Chattogram 2 for a long time.
He filed cases in addition to conducting several anti-corruption campaigns; including corruption in land acquisition worth Tk 35000000 in 72 projects in Cox's Bazar, NID and passport fraud of Rohingyas, irregularities in the Chittagong Karnaphuli gas field.
He was transferred to Patuakhali in 2021 and dismissed on February 16 the following year.
