Anti-Corruption Commission-ACC is conducting raids at 36 offices of Local Government Engineering Department, including its head office, to investigate allegations of corruption and irregularities in various projects.
The enforcement operation is being conducted from the ACC head office and district offices across the country.
Earlier, allegations were found against LGED offices for using low-quality products in the construction of roads, bridges and culverts in rural areas, failure to maintain the quality of work, and failure to perform or show minimal work.
Allegations of irregularities and corruption also raised against LGED, including embezzlement of funds allocated for various development projects.
