Ad-Din Hospital authorities have issued a written statement apologizing to members of the media following an incident in which hospital staff allegedly assaulted journalists covering the deaths of 6 newborns.
The investigation committee into the deaths of 6 newborns at Ad-Din Hospital has extended its report deadline to June 3.
Authorities say the exact cause of the deaths and any responsibility will be determined after the inquiry.
During a visit, the Health Minister and officials found an unauthorized bakery on the hospital’s 7th floor.
Journalists were barred from entering and a clash between hospital staff and reporters left several journalists injured.
