Awami League has distorted history by downplaying the contributions of national leaders. The true history of great figures like Sher-e-Bangla was not allowed to properly reach the new generation.
Speaking after placing floral wreaths at the mausoleum of Sher-e-Bangla A. K. Fazlul Huq this morning, BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan said, prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the late leader’s soul.
He also stated that for the past 17 years, the previous government was engaged in glorifying a single individual.
On the occasion of the 64th death anniversary of Sher-e-Bangla, senior BNP leaders paid tribute at his mausoleum near the High Court this morning.
