The life of Ayesha Akter, a talented young woman from Kochua village in Saghata Upazila, Gaibandha, has changed dramatically after her story was aired by DBC News.
Born without both hands, Ayesha never allowed her physical disability to limit her ambitions.
She completed her SSC in 2012 and HSC in 2014 by writing with her feet, before earning both bachelor's and master's degrees in political science from Gaibandha Government College.
Her long-held dream of securing a respectable job gained public attention after DBC News highlighted her story.
Following instructions from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the Gaibandha district administration appointed her to Gaibandha BIAM Laboratory School and College.
After receiving her appointment letter from the Prime Minister, Ayesha expressed gratitude to DBC News, the Prime Minister, and the district administration.
