The agreement signed in Washington DC by US Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman on Thursday morning.

 According to Bangladesh Embassy in Washington, the deal focuses on strategic cooperation in the energy sector. 

The agreement comes at a time when many countries, including Bangladesh, are facing growing energy security concerns due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East. 

The officials say,  the memorandum will support Bangladesh’s efforts to diversify energy sources and ensure affordable and sustainable energy supplies for the future.
