Internet Providers Association has said that after Saturday evening, the internet service will be normal across the country if the power supply is restored.
Almost 40 percent of the country's customers are out of internet service as the data center was damaged in the fire at Khawaja Tower in Mohakhali on Thursday, which claimed at least 3 lives.
Meanwhile, police cordoned off the damaged building. It will be handed over to the owner within two days. A fire broke out on the 13th floor of Khawaja Tower around 5 pm on Thursday.
Later it spread to three more floors. After the fire broke out, the fire service started working to control the electricity.
They announced that it was completely under control at around 8:30 am on Friday. Internet providers were allowed to relocate telecom devices on Friday morning.
