Bangladesh has issued Local Warning Signal No. 3 for all four seaports as a low-pressure system over the northwestern Bay of Bengal brings rough weather and strong winds.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department says the low-pressure system could trigger strong winds over the seaports, the northern Bay of Bengal, and nearby coastal areas.
Cloudy skies and light to moderate rain are expected to continue over the next few days.
Local Warning Signal No. 3 has been issued for the ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra.
Fishing boats and trawlers in the northern Bay have also been advised to stay close to the coast until conditions improve.
