A Bangladeshi student, went missing in Greek Cyprus has found dead. Following the incident, the police have arrested a 22-year-old Bangladeshi man in connection with the case.
Sahruwar Ahmed Emon disappeared on June 12 while going to his first day of work at a factory in Kofinou area.
His roommate said, a ransom demand of 35,000 euros was later sent to Emon’s father from his WhatsApp account.
Police began an investigation and arrested another Bangladeshi youth.
Authorities said, the suspect confessed to the killing during questioning.
Police believe, Emon was murdered on the night he went missing.
Emon was from Raipura Upazila of Narsingdi in Bangladesh.
