Bangladesh U-20 women's team cruised to a dominant 5-0 victory over Sri Lanka in their fifth match of the SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship, moving just one step away from clinching the title.
From kickoff at the Bashundhara Training Ground, Bangladesh controlled the match.
Kanan opened the scoring in the 24th minute, before Pooja Das doubled the lead just before halftime.
In the second half, coach Peter Butler made several substitutions that kept the pressure on Sri Lanka.
Now, a draw against Nepal in their final match will be enough for Bangladesh to lift the championship trophy.
