Border Guard Bangladesh has thwarted attempts by India's Border Security Force to push five women and an elderly man into Bangladesh through the Joypurhat and Lalmonirhat borders.
Around at 4am on Saturday BSF personnel allegedly switched off border lights to push 3 people, including 2 women, through a border in Joypurhat.
Local residents detained the group and alerted BGB, which reinforced its zero-line position ahead of a planned flag meeting.
In a separate incident around 4:45 am at Lalmonirhat's Patgram border, BSF allegedly tried to send three women through a fence gate.
BGB immediately intervened, preventing the attempt.
