Border Guard Bangladesh has stopped attempts to push 11 people into Chuadanga and six people into Kurigram through the border.
BGB members and local residents prevented attempts to push people into Bangladesh through the Darshana border in Chuadanga and Roumari border in Kurigram.
In Darshana, 11 people, including women and children, were stopped near the border fence.
Meanwhile, in Moulvibazar’s Barlekha border area, a suspected Indian smuggler was injured after BGB members opened fire in self-defense during an alleged attack.
Security has been tightened along the border following the incidents.
