A BNP worker has been seriously injured in a gun and bomb attack in Meherpur district. Attackers opened fire early and threw bombs before fleeing on Monday morning. The victim is now under treatment.
A BNP worker, Mukul Hossain, has been critically injured in a violent attack in the district.
According to local sources, attackers shot him thrice-- in the chest, back, and hand. The attackers also hurled several crackers before fleeing the scene.
He was first taken to a local health complex and later shifted to Kushtia Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.
Police believe the attack may be linked to local rivalry or previous conflicts.
Authorities have launched an operation to identify and arrest those responsible.
