Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will participate in a bilateral meeting today with Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the great hall of the People in Beijing.
The two leaders are expected to discuss a wide range of issues concerning mutual cooperation across various sectors.
Key topics on the agenda include the much-discussed Teesta Project and Bangladesh’s potential participation in China’s Global Development Initiative (GDI).
Following the meeting, agreements, MOUs and protocols will be signed in the presence of the two leaders. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will later attend a banquet hosted by the Chinese premier.
More than 15 agreements, MOUs, and other documents are reportedly on the list for signing during the visit.
