Bangladesh take on Sri Lanka today in the first match of a three-game ODI series.
The match will be held at Colombo’s Premadasa Stadium and begins at 3 PM local time.
After a disappointing Test series, the Tigers look to bounce back in white-ball cricket.
Following a poor Champions Trophy campaign and back-to-back series losses against
West Indies and Afghanistan, Bangladesh have slumped to 10th in the ICC ODI rankings their lowest position in the last 19 years.
Historically, Bangladesh have struggled against Sri Lanka, winning just 12 of their 57 meetings.
The record is even more lopsided on Sri Lankan soil, where the Tigers have managed only 4 wins in 24 matches.
Buoyed by their Test success, the hosts will be aiming to carry that momentum into the ODI format.
