Bangladesh surrendered meekly on the fourth morning in Colombo, losing the second Test by an innings and 78 runs as Sri Lanka wrapped up the visitors within 30 minutes of play.

Prabath Jayasuriya, who had taken only one wicket in the first three innings of the series, finished with 5 for 56, removing Litton Das, Naeem Hasan, and Taijul Islam in a morning burst that left Bangladesh reeling.

Litton, who was Bangladesh’s hope for a fightback, fell in the day’s fifth ball, edging Jayasuriya for 14. Naeem was stumped for 5, and Taijul offered a return catch to complete Jayasuriya’s five-wicket haul.
