According to the national census report released at the Statistics Bhavan in Agargaon this morning, the population living in the city corporation has doubled in 11 years.

According to the National Census and Household Census report, Dhaka division has the highest population of 4.56 million and Barisal division has the lowest population of 93 lakh 25 thousand.

The number of slum dwellers in the country is 17 lakh 36 thousand. The number of floating people in the country is 22 thousand 186 people. Own mobile phone user rate is 69.93 percent. Internet user rate above 15 years is 36.92 percent.

Bank account holder rate in the country is 25.35 percent and mobile banking account holder rate is 39.11 percent.
