Bangladesh national women’s football team will be looking to seal the FIFA international friendly series against Bhutan when the two sides face off in the second and final match at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu today.
The match will kick off at 6 pm Bangladesh Standard Time. Bangladesh, who are taking part in the series as part of their preparation for October’s SAFF Women’s Championship in Nepal, thrashed Bhutan 5-1 in the first match on Wednesday, with forward Sagorika slamming a hat-trick on debut.
Ahead of the match, the visitors underwent an hour-long final training session at the match venue on Friday. Veteran forward and captain Sabina Khatun vowed to rectify the mistakes that they made in the first match, while Sagorika wished to score more goals in the final game.
