According to his official profile on the State Department's website, he previously served as the Counselor for Political and Economic Affairs at US. 

Embassy in Dhaka from 2019 to 2021. 

He is set to succeed Peter Haas as the new ambassador. 

Currently, Tracy Ann Jacobson is serving as the Acting Ambassador in Dhaka.
