Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has visited the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute to inquire about the treatment of patients injured in the recent jet crash into Milestone School and College in Uttara.
He went to the hospital at 9:10 pm on Saturday night.
Upon reaching the Institute, the Chief Adviser listened to the description of the incident of that day from its director Professor Mohammad Nasiruddin and asked about the current condition of the injured patients.
Prof Sayedur said the lack of ambulances during the shifting of patients was clearly understood while the limitations of the country's emergency healthcare have been visible through this accident.
The Chief Adviser ordered to immediately send a specific proposal on what to do in this regard and said that action would be taken soon.
He put emphasis on counseling to ensure the mental well-being of the families of the deceased and the injured in this incident and to overcome the trauma.
