After 3rd day of EID Offices, courts, and banks have reopened after the seven-day Eid holiday, but the capital Dhaka has yet to return to its usual busy state. Many people who extended their holidays are still returning to the city.
Since morning, crowds have been pouring into Kamalapur Railway Station as people make their way back to the capital.
Long-distance buses from different regions have also started arriving at Gabtoli and Sayedabad terminals, with the highest passenger pressure coming from northern and southern areas.
The capital began to empty from March 17 ahead of the extended holiday, which lasted until March 23.
Although offices are open on Tuesday and Wednesday, another three-day break is approaching, delaying a full return to normal life.
