In the capital’s kitchen markets, prices of vegetables, chicken and eggs remain stable this week However, fish prices continue to draw dis-satisfaction among consumers.

Broiler chicken is selling at last week’s rate of Tk 150–160 per kg, while Shonali chicken is priced between Tk 300–320.
Eggs remain at Tk 120 per dozen. Local onion prices are steady at Tk 55–60 per kg, with ginger and garlic ranging from Tk 120–180. Green chili prices have edged up to Tk 160 per kg.
Among vegetables, brinjal and bitter gourd range from Tk 80–100. Meanwhile, fish prices have surged, frustrating buyers.
Pabda is priced at Tk 400–500, farmed koi at Tk 250, shing at Tk 450–550, telapia at Tk 280, and pangas between Tk 200–280 per kg.
Hilsa saw the sharpest rise, with 1–1.2 kg sizes now selling for Tk 3 thousand per kg, up from Tk 2 thousand 600 last week.
