A tense situation continues at Chattogram City College following clashes between student groups linked to Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir.
Additional police have been deployed to strengthen security and prevent outsiders from entering the campus.
A college investigation committee has been formed to look into the cause of the violence.
The clashes reportedly began after the word “Gupto” was written in graffiti on campus walls, leading to repeated confrontations in the nearby New Market area.
At least 20 to 25 people, including the college student wing president of Chhatra Dal, were seriously injured in the incidents.
