A court has declined to accept a petition seeking the filing of a case against former Chief Adviser of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, and four others over the deaths of children caused by measles.
The petition was submitted to the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam by Mujibur Rahman Iqbal, a MP from Kishoreganj-5 constituency.
According to the complaint, despite being a Nobel laureate, the former Chief Adviser of the interim government and four others of his government allegedly showed gross negligence and engaged in deliberate actions that led to the deaths of hundreds of children and put the lives of thousands more at risk.
