Crisis of soybean oil and sugar is being intensified day by day in capital's kitchen markets. People are not getting neither of those at the shops. Wholesale markets sellers say, bottled soybean oil of 190 taka per litre is not available at markets yet.

Exploring capital's Mohammadpur wholesale Krishimarket, it has been seen, most of the shops don't have sugar and soybean oil. However, open soybean oil is being sold at the market by government fixed price.

 

Meanwhile, essential daily products are being sold at wholesale markets with higher prices. Open flour is being sold at 56 taka, while Moshur pulse is being sold according to its quality from 95 to 132 taka per kg.

 

Besides, local onion and Indian onion are being sold according to its quality at 35 to 38 and 36 to 37 respectively. On the other hand, Potato is being sold at 18 to 21 taka per kg. Chinese gingers are being sold from 155 to 160 taka at wholesale markets, while Chinese garlics are being sold at 100 taka per kg.
