During the drive, Aedes mosquito larvae were found at two under-construction buildings, and authorities fined them one lakh taka.

Local Government Minister, Mir Shahe Alam has said, government efforts alone are not enough to control dengue and urged residents to keep their surroundings clean. 

He also directed city officials to continue awareness campaigns and inspections in every ward. The minister personally joined the operation, inspected mosquito breeding sites, warned residents, and ordered quick removal of waste from local areas.
