Dhaka University has been declared closed for an indefinite time from today.
University authorities also ordered the students of residential halls to vacate halls by 6 pm.
The decision was made in a syndicate meeting of Dhaka University.
On the other hand, authorities of Jahangirnagar University have announced the closure of the institution for an indefinite period.
Meanwhile, Students of Rangpur's Begum Rokeya University, Rajshahi University, Kustia's Islami University started leaving their halls since morning.
The demonstrating students have announced to hold ‘Gayebana Janaza’ and coffin procession today in memory of the deceased.
The programme will be held at 2 pm in front of Dhaka University’s Raju Sculpture.
