Bangladesh Police Service Association, has asked govt to re-think about the decision to change police uniform.
This request is made in a statement, signed by the General Secretary of the association and Cumilla District Police Super-intendent Mohammad Anisuzzaman on Monday night.
The association said, the new police uniform was decided without proper thinking.
They say it does not clearly consider how police members can be easily identified in the field.
The Khaki uniform was chosen in 2003 and 2004 after long study and checking.
It was made by thinking about the country’s weather, skin color of police members, and easy and safe identification.
They say ,these important and practical issues, have not been taken into consideration, for the new uniform design.
