A road accident involving a bus carrying students of Dhaka University, named “Khonika,” has left at least 10 people injured.
The incident took place around 7:00 AM. While the bus was coming down from the Karwan Bazar expressway, one of its tires suddenly burst.
As a result, the driver lost control and the brakes failed. The bus then hit several CNG auto-rickshaws and private cars in front of it.
Several university students and passengers in the CNGs were injured.
The CNGs and private cars were also badly damaged, but no deaths have been reported so far.
The injured have been admitted to Holy Family Hospital, CMH and Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
