In a statement on Tuesday, Trump claimed he was only one hour away from approving fresh military action. 

However, he said the decision was paused after Iran reportedly sent a new peace proposal through Pakistani mediation. 

Trump added that if talks fail, military strikes could begin within the next two to three days. 

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that the world would witness “many new surprises” if fighting begins again.
