Dr. Zubaida Rahman, Vice-Chairperson of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation and spouse of the Prime Minister, has called for preparing children to become the nation's future builders.
She made the remarks on Monday while visiting the Child Care and Rehabilitation Programme of the Department of Social Services in Tejgaon, Dhaka, and exchanging views with officials.
Members of the government children's home welcomed her with cultural performances, which she enjoyed.
Dr. Zubaida expressed hope that the children would excel in their studies and bring pride to Bangladesh.
She also stressed the importance of instilling honesty and discipline in children from an early age.
