Initially, 2 thousand 6 hundred and 10 buses from 21 companies will operate on various routes on Gazipur-Dhaka road. The colour of all buses to be pink.

Inaugurating the program this morning, DMP Commissioner Sajjat Ali said, till now, many buses and minibuses in Dhaka city are carrying passengers under contract system violating the regulations. 

This creates unequal competition in vehicle movement. 

As a result, traffic jam and chaos are being created on roads and accidents are being occurred. 

The DMP Commissioner also said, from now on, passengers will have to collect tickets from specific counters before travelling.
