The city dwellers are still leaving the capital to celebrate the festival with their loved ones.

Meanwhile, after a long traffic jam, relief is returning to the highways.

Traffic congestion along 13-km stretch of Dhaka-Mymensingh highway from Tongi to Joydevpur has started to ease. 

The congestion is also easing on Tangail highway at the eastern end of Jamuna Bridge.

Passenger pressure is seen at Dhaka's Kamalapur and Airport railway stations. 

City dwellers are also leaving the capital by launches as well as buses and trains. 

People from the southern part of the country are rushing to reach their destinations one by one by boat from Sadarghat. 

Although there is some pressure on the road from Gulistan to Sadarghat, many people are walking or taking rickshaws for going Sadarghat.
