The earthquake was felt at 12:57 AM on Tuesday. 

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said its magnitude was 4.9. The epicenter was located 81 kilometers east of Falam in Myanmar.

The quake had a depth of 106.8 kilometers, and the affected areas included Myanmar’s Sagaing region, Northeast India, and Bangladesh’s Chattogram, Dhaka, Barishal, and Sylhet divisions.

In the past few days, this is the eighth time an earthquake has been felt in Bangladesh, starting from Friday, November 21.
